DRSS Robotics Performs Well in Kentucky

The High School Robotics team, DRSS Enterprise, competed in the Kentucky State Championship on Saturday, January 30th, in Owensboro, KY.  They performed great while there, including coming together as a team to perform a major repair job on the robot between rounds and helping a number of other more junior teams successfully compete.  They finished 12th in the qualifying gameplay - had they had scored two more points in one game, they would have finished 2nd, so competition was fierce!

DRSS Enterprise didn't come back empty handed.  They were finalists for the Control Award for their software; finalists for the Connect Award for their outreach to the community; finalists for the Promote Award for the PSA video they created.  They won the Rockwell Collins Innovate Award for the most innovative engineering and design and they won the 3rd place Inspire Award.  Third place Inspire effectively means they placed 5th overall for the state of Kentucky.

Next up, DRSS Enterprise is headed to the Ohio Championship February 12th-13th, and the Indiana State Championship February 19th-20th.
