During the week of February 10-13 we will be kicking off our first annual ACE week at the Dayton Regional STEM School. ACE stands for “an Accepting Culture for Everyone”.
Some highlights of the week include:
- DRSS students will wear blue ribbons as a pledge to stand up to bullying behavior and to remind each other that an accepting school culture takes effort on everyone’s part
- Students will watch a video or read a story about the long-term effects of bullying
- Students will have the opportunity to provide public comment on “How we can improve our school culture” and “What an ACE culture looks like to you”
- Daily public announcements written by DRSS students will focus on topics related to ACE
We will focus on fostering a school environment where students feel safe and positive behavioral choices are the norm. We are developing a school culture that takes an effort by the students, parents and staff of the Dayton Regional STEM School.
