Enhancing Costa Rican Education Benefit Dinner - January 14th

For STEMersion 2013, a group of DRSS students (Grades 10-12) traveled to Costa Rica for biological research, conservation efforts and service. During the trip, we visited an elementary school where we met children from kindergarten to sixth grade, all of whom were sorely lacking in regular school supplies such as books, backpacks, pencils, etc. This experience has had a lasting impact on us, inspiring the Costa Rica group and Key Club to host a banquet in hopes to raise money and collect school supplies to send these Costa Rican children the tools they need to succeed academically.
